これまでキャンバス作品として表現してきたUNDULATION独自の世界観を、3本の時計を収めるウォッチケースという新たな形へと展開。外装を手掛けるのは、UNDULATIONのアーティスト、クワイ華。キャンバス作品で培ってきた特殊塗装の技法をウォッチケースへと落とし込み、特殊塗料を幾重にも塗り重ね、乾燥、削り、磨きを繰り返すことで、一つひとつ異なる表情を生み出しています。内装を手掛けるのは、レザークラフト職人・葛野慎吾。時計を収める空間に合わせ、素材とディテールにこだわりながら、一つひとつ丁寧に仕立てています。

Two forms of craftsmanship come together in a single watch case. More than a case for storing precious timepieces, the UNDULATION WATCH CASE is designed to showcase them beautifully, while serving as an art piece in its own right, bringing character and presence to the space it inhabits.

The distinctive artistic language of UNDULATION, originally expressed through canvas works, is reimagined in a new form: a watch case designed to house three timepieces. The exterior is crafted by Kuwai Hana, the artist behind UNDULATION. Drawing on the special coating techniques developed through his canvas works, layers of coating are individually applied, dried, scraped, and polished by hand. Through this meticulous process, each case takes on its own distinctive character. The interior is crafted by leather artisan Shingo Kuzuno. Carefully tailored to the space that holds each timepiece, every detail is meticulously finished by hand.

From canvas to watch case. Artistic expression and refined leather craftsmanship come together to create a singular object. A one-of-a-kind WATCH CASE that not only houses three timepieces, but also becomes part of the space itself. The fusion of art and craftsmanship that defines UNDULATION.
