その外装には、UNDULATIONのキャンバス作品にも用いられている特殊塗装を採用。アーティスト・クワイ華が、特殊塗料を何層にも重ね、乾燥、削り、磨きを繰り返しながら、一つの表情をつくり上げています。深い黒の光沢の中に、重なった色彩の奥から紫の輝きが浮かび上がる仕上がり。光の当たり方や見る角度によってその表情は変化し、黒の奥行きと紫の輝きがさまざまな表情を見せます。同じ色彩で仕上げられていても、一点ごとに異なる表情を持つことも、この技法ならではの魅力です。

内装は、ハンドメイドデザイナー・葛野慎吾によるもの。厳選されたクロコダイルを用い、その一枚一枚が持つ独特の模様や質感を活かしながら、時計を収める空間を丁寧に仕立てています。滑らかな手触りと立体的な表情を持つクロコダイルが、時計を収めた瞬間に内側からも特別な存在感を添えます。

キャンバスで培われた表現を、時計とともに過ごすための新たな形へ。異なる分野で磨かれた二つのクラフトマンシップが重なり、ひとつのWATCH CASEとして完成します。3本の大切な時計を収めながら、その存在自体が空間を彩る。UNDULATIONならではの、アートとクラフトが融合したウォッチケースです。

Two distinct forms of craftsmanship come together in a single watch case. The UNDULATION WATCH CASE is more than a place to store and protect your cherished timepieces. Designed to beautifully present your watches and to be appreciated as an art piece within a space, it brings a sense of character to everyday surroundings.

The exterior features the specialized painting technique also developed through UNDULATION’s canvas works. Artist Kuwai Hana builds up multiple layers of specialized paint, repeatedly drying, scraping, and polishing the surface to create its distinctive character. A deep, glossy black is brought to life by a purple glow emerging from beneath the layered colors. Its appearance shifts with the light and viewing angle, revealing different depths within the black and subtle changes in the purple. Even pieces finished in the same color palette develop their own individual character, making each case unique.

The interior is crafted by handmade designer Shingo Kuzuno using carefully selected crocodile leather. Each piece is meticulously finished to make the most of the material’s distinctive grain, texture, and natural character. Smooth to the touch and rich in three-dimensional detail, the crocodile leather adds a refined presence from within, creating a special experience each time a cherished timepiece is placed inside.
