黒く艶やかなFRPキャンバスの奥に、幾重にも重ねられた色彩が眠っている。

何十層もの特殊塗料を一層ずつ積み重ね、その表面を削ることで現れる一本一本の線。
それは単なる線ではない。幾重にも重なった色彩の層であり、そこに費やされた時間そのものの軌跡である。

現れる線は、やがて慈愛に満ちた龍の姿を描き出す。力強く、圧倒的な存在感を放ちながらも、威圧するのではなく、静かにこちらを見守るように佇む。
渦巻く文様には、古くから人々の暮らしを守る存在として親しまれてきた狛犬の姿から着想を得た。その曲線は、守護や祈りの気配を作品の中に静かに宿している。

Deep within the lustrous black surface of the FRP canvas, layers upon layers of color lie dormant.

Dozens of layers of special coating are meticulously built up, one layer at a time. By carving into the surface, individual lines emerge, revealing what lies beneath.
These are more than lines. They are traces of accumulated color, and at the same time, a record of the time devoted to creating them.

From these emerging lines, the figure of a benevolent dragon gradually takes form. Powerful and commanding in presence, it does not seek to intimidate. Instead, it stands quietly, as though watching over those who encounter it.

The swirling patterns are inspired by the forms of komainu, the guardian lion-dogs traditionally placed at the entrances of shrines and temples in Japan. Their flowing curves quietly evoke a sense of protection and prayer, imbuing the work with the presence of a guardian.

And the act of protecting.
