This work incorporates rare Jindai-sugi, ancient cedar that has remained buried underground for countless years. Over time, the wood has developed deep, rich tones and a distinctive grain, carrying a quiet sense of dignity and the natural beauty of Japan that cannot be replicated by contemporary materials. Originally possessing a calm, matte character, the Jindai-sugi is given a lustrous finish through a distinctive treatment, allowing the aged wood to take on a new radiance.
