Layer upon layer of specialized paint is carefully applied, dried, and then carved back. Through this repeated process, the accumulation of time, normally invisible to the eye, emerges on the surface as layers of color and texture. The individual lines revealed through carving are traces of the colors built up over time. From within these layers emerges a dragon whose presence is defined not only by strength, but by a gentle expression filled with compassion. A powerful surge runs through its form, resonating with the flowing layers of color and creating a sense of quiet movement. As light touches the surface, different colors and depths come into view, allowing the dragon’s expression to shift subtly with every change in perspective.

Created through a long process of accumulating color and revealing what lies beneath, the dragon rests quietly within a space, radiating a presence that feels as though it is watching over those who live with it. Even after being welcomed into a space, its expression continues to change with the morning light, evening glow, and atmosphere of each day, bringing a sense of calm to everyday life.
