今回の一品を印象づけるのは、潔い白と、そこから鮮やかに浮かび上がる緑。明るさの中に深みを宿した色彩は、見る角度や光の加減によって表情を変え、時に軽やかに、時に強い存在感を見せます。表面には、UNDULATIONのアーティスト、クワイ華がキャンバス作品で培ってきた特殊塗装の技法を採用。幾重にも重ねた塗料を乾かし、削り、磨く。その工程を重ねることで生まれる艶と奥行きは、工業製品にはない、一点ごとの個性を宿しています。
扉を開けば、外装とは異なるもうひとつの表情が現れます。内装を手掛けるのは、ハンドメイドデザイナー・葛野慎吾。厳選されたクロコダイルは、その特徴的なグレインと立体感を活かしながら丁寧に仕立てられ、指先に触れた瞬間から素材の上質さを感じさせます。時計を置いたときに生まれる美しい佇まいまでを見据えた、贅沢な仕立てです。

This is not simply a case for storing watches. Even when closed, it has the presence to transform its surroundings. Designed to house three timepieces while standing as an art object in its own right, the UNDULATION WATCH CASE extends the pleasure of owning a watch beyond the timepiece itself.
What defines this particular piece is the striking interplay of pure white and vivid green. Bright yet deeply nuanced, the palette shifts with the light and viewing angle, appearing at times light and effortless, at others bold and commanding. The exterior is finished by UNDULATION artist Kuwai Hana using a specialized painting technique developed through his canvas works. Layers of paint are repeatedly dried, scraped, and polished, building a depth and lustre that gives each piece its own individual character, far removed from the uniformity of industrial production.
Open the case, and another expression emerges. The interior is crafted by handmade designer Shingo Kuzuno from carefully selected crocodile leather. Its distinctive grain and sculptural texture are preserved through meticulous craftsmanship, revealing a refined tactility the moment it meets the hand. Designed with the presentation of the watches in mind, the interior brings a sense of quiet luxury to the experience of placing each timepiece inside.
The vivid contrast of white and green, the rich texture of crocodile leather, and the three watches it is made to hold come together as a single composition. More than a place to keep timepieces, it becomes part of the ritual of owning them.
