外装を手掛けるのは、UNDULATIONのアーティスト、クワイ華。特殊塗料を幾重にも重ね、乾燥、削り、磨きを繰り返す独自の技法によって、深みのある艶と奥行きを生み出しています。削りを抑えることで、重ねられた色彩の存在を感じさせながらも、表面には黒を基調とした端正な印象を残しています。控えめな色の現れ方が、素材そのものの質感と相まって、落ち着きのある品格を感じさせます。

内装には、ハンドメイドデザイナー・葛野慎吾が仕立てるオーストリッチを採用。特徴的な質感を活かしながら、一つひとつ丁寧に仕上げています。艶やかな黒の外装と、内装に用いたオーストリッチの表情が重なり、時計を収めた瞬間にも、端正で上質な佇まいを感じさせます。

A deep, lustrous black forms the foundation of this five-watch case, with subtle areas of scraping revealing glimpses of a rich green reminiscent of viridian beneath the surface. Rather than bringing vivid color to the forefront, the case is defined by the depth and sheen of black, while the green emerges discreetly as an understated accent. Depending on the angle of view and the way light falls across the surface, the depth and gloss of the black reveal subtly shifting expressions, with occasional hints of color appearing beneath.

The exterior is crafted by Kuwai Hana, the artist behind UNDULATION. Using a distinctive technique of layering special paints, followed by repeated processes of drying, scraping, and polishing, Kuwai creates a surface with exceptional depth, dimension, and lustrous character. By keeping the scraping to a minimum, the layered colors remain subtly perceptible while preserving a refined, predominantly black appearance. The restrained emergence of color, combined with the texture of the surface itself, lends the case a quiet sense of sophistication and understated elegance.

The interior features ostrich leather, meticulously crafted by handmade designer Shingo Kuzuno. Its distinctive texture is carefully preserved and finished by hand, piece by piece. The interplay between the lustrous black exterior and the expressive texture of the ostrich interior creates a refined and luxurious presence, even as the watches are placed within.

Rather than displaying vivid colors openly, this case allows subtle traces of color to emerge from beneath the depth of black.
