外装を手掛けるのは、UNDULATIONのアーティスト、クワイ華。特殊塗料を幾重にも重ね、乾燥、削り、磨きを繰り返すことで、単純な一色では表現できない奥行きと艶を生み出しています。表面を削ることで現れる色彩には、均一ではない自然な濃淡が生まれ、黒の艶の中に独特の揺らぎを与えています。手仕事によって生まれるわずかな違いも、その一つひとつの個性として楽しむことができます。

内装には、ハンドメイドデザイナー・葛野慎吾が仕立てるクロコダイルを採用。特徴的なグレインと立体的な質感を活かしながら、一つひとつ丁寧に仕上げています。艶やかな黒の外装に、温かみのある色彩、そしてクロコダイルが持つ豊かな表情。それぞれ異なる質感が重なることで、5本の時計を収めたときにも、落ち着きのある上質な佇まいを感じさせます。

A deep, lustrous black forms the foundation of this five-watch case, with a subdued ochre tone emerging through the layers revealed by the scraping process. Reminiscent of earth and natural pigments, the warm hue does not seek attention through vivid color. Instead, it merges with the depth of the black, creating a refined and understated character. As the light moves across the surface and the viewing angle changes, subtle variations in tone and lustre appear, allowing the warmth of the color to emerge from within the deep black.

The exterior is created by UNDULATION artist Kuwai Hana. Multiple layers of specialized paint are applied, then repeatedly dried, scraped, and polished to create a depth and lustre that cannot be achieved through a single application of color. The scraping process reveals natural variations within the underlying layers, giving the surface an individual rhythm and character. These subtle differences, created through the hand-finished process, make each case unique.

The interior is crafted by handmade designer Shingo Kuzuno using carefully selected crocodile leather. Its distinctive grain and sculptural texture are preserved through meticulous craftsmanship, with each piece carefully finished by hand. The lustrous black exterior, warm earthy tones, and rich character of the crocodile leather come together to create an elegant setting for five timepieces.

Rather than relying on vivid color to make an impression, this case invites appreciation of depth, material, and subtle variation. The warm tones emerging from beneath the black carry a sense of character that deepens over time, evoking a refined appreciation for imperfection and the beauty of age.
